We braved the rainy and slightly stormy weather to visit the town of chesterfield, famous for its church with a twisted wooden spire. The recent storms had blown all the canopies away from the tops of the new open air market stands. A few other brave shoppers were out in their winter jackets and hats. We had a good look round before retreating into a local pub for a well earned hot meal.
